TEAC Corp Swings to Profit as Nine-Month Revenue Reaches ¥11.44 Billion

The company’s latest financial results, reported under IFRS standards, show a notable recovery compared to the same period last year when it faced a net loss of 331 million yen. Revenue for the period rose to 11.44 billion yen, up from 11.04 billion yen, signaling a stabilizing demand for the group’s hardware and components.

Operational Turnaround and Earnings

The shift to the black was driven by a move into operating profit, which reached 82 million yen against a previous loss of 85 million yen. Pretax figures also showed significant improvement, with the company posting a 68 million yen profit, successfully erasing a 342 million yen deficit from the prior year.

Key performance indicators for the nine-month period include:

  • Earnings per share of 3.35 yen, reversing an 11.50 yen loss per share.
    • Operating profit margin recovery following a year of contraction.
    • Total revenue growth of approximately 3.6% year-on-year.
According to the official filing, these results cover the period ending December 31, 2024. The transition from a heavy loss-making position to a consolidated profit suggests that TEAC's cost-management and sales strategies are gaining traction in a competitive global electronics market.
