Capital Power Names Suncor Veteran Kevin MacIntosh as New CFO

MacIntosh joins the Edmonton-based independent power producer with more than 30 years of experience in the global energy industry. He most recently served as vice president and controller for Suncor Energy, where he previously spearheaded the finance integration when the firm took over operatorship of the Syncrude oil sands project.

Extensive Energy Sector Background

The appointment brings deep operational expertise to Capital Power's executive suite. Before his tenure at Suncor, Kevin MacIntosh held various leadership positions at Irving Oil and managed diverse finance functions across both downstream and upstream operations. According to the company, his background in navigating large-scale, complex organizations aligns with its long-term strategic objectives.

MacIntosh succeeds interim CFO Scott Manson, who has led the financial department during the search for a permanent successor. To ensure a seamless transition of responsibilities, Scott Manson will remain with the company through the end of April, the power producer confirmed in its announcement. The new appointment becomes official on March 16.
