Better Home & Finance Joins Sky Ecosystem in $500M DeFi Push

Better Home intends to join the network through Obex, an incubator managed by Framework Ventures and supported by a $2.5 billion commitment from Sky. Within this decentralized framework, capital is allocated across specialized entities known as "stars" that deploy funds into specific sectors. These entities generate earnings that are subsequently cycled back into the network to provide yield for stablecoin holders.

Capitalizing on Decentralized Liquidity

The integration allows the mortgage lender to tap into the Sky ecosystem’s liquidity to scale its loan origination. Framework Ventures co-founder Vance Spencer stated that the capital injection is expected to help Better rapidly expand its reach and potentially lower mortgage rates for consumers over the long term. By folding traditional finance into the Sky stablecoin network, the partners hope to create a more efficient funding model for residential real estate.
