The month’s success was driven by a diverse lineup of popular titles, including 'The Devil Wears Prada 2', 'Obsession', 'Backrooms', and 'Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu'. The biographical film 'Michael', which debuted in April, also maintained significant momentum through May. These figures have bolstered the company’s second-quarter results, bringing total box-office revenue to approximately 120.5 million Canadian dollars, compared with 106.7 million at this stage in 2025.

Beyond ticket sales, Cineplex saw record-breaking spending at its concession stands. While the company did not release specific financial data regarding food and beverage sales, it confirmed that the average spend per patron reached an all-time high during the month.
