Despite the sharp drop in net profit, the company managed a slight uptick in operational efficiency. Operating profit rose to 20 million yen from 19 million yen, while pretax profit reached 15 million yen, up from 14 million yen a year earlier. Revenue, however, contracted to 794 million yen from the previous year's 847 million yen.
Earnings per share fell to 0.49 yen from 0.93 yen. The company confirmed it will not issue dividends for the midyear period, maintaining its stance of zero payouts for the fiscal cycle.
