Amagasa Narrows Quarterly Losses Amid Revenue Surge

Amagasa Co. Ltd. reported a net loss of 36 million yen for the first quarter ending April 30, a significant improvement from the 116 million yen loss recorded during the same period last year. The results signal a shift in the company's financial performance as revenue climbed to 1.8 billion yen.

The Japanese retailer saw its operating profit reach 46 million yen, contrasting sharply with the 111 million yen loss posted in 2025. Pretax figures followed a similar trajectory, moving from a 113 million yen deficit to a 15 million yen profit. These figures, prepared under Japanese accounting standards, reflect a broader stabilization in the company’s bottom line. Earnings per share improved to a loss of 0.45 yen, compared to the 3.96 yen loss registered in the previous year.
