Energy Fuels Targets Uranium Production Milestone by Mid-2026

Energy Fuels expects to reach a production milestone of 1.6 million pounds of uranium by June 2026, positioning the company to meet its annual output guidance. This steady ramp-up at the White Mesa Mill in Utah underscores a strategic shift toward balancing yellowcake extraction with emerging rare earth mineral processing.

Energy Fuels Targets Uranium Production Milestone by Mid-2026

The company’s output target for the year remains between 1.5 million and 2.5 million pounds of uranium. By the end of June, the facility will have produced an average of 265,000 pounds of triuranium oxide—commonly referred to as yellowcake—per month. Once this processing campaign concludes, management intends to replenish its ore stockpiles before evaluating a potential restart of production in the fourth quarter, contingent upon market conditions.

Following the June pause, Energy Fuels will pivot toward infrastructure upgrades at the White Mesa Mill. These modifications aim to expand the site’s rare earth circuits, allowing for the handling of mixed rare earth carbonates and heavy rare earth elements. Permitting for these multi-phase expansions remains on schedule, with the initial phase of the rare earth circuit expected to become operational between late 2027 and early 2028.
