Matsui Securities Net Profit Climbs 30% to 11.07 Billion Yen

Tokyo-based Matsui Securities Co. Ltd. reported an 11.07 billion yen net profit for the nine months ending December 31, a sharp increase from the 8.48 billion yen recorded during the same period last year.

The brokerage firm saw its total revenue climb to 37.29 billion yen, compared to 29.70 billion yen in the previous fiscal year. This growth trickled down to the bottom line, with operating profit reaching 16.51 billion yen, up from 12.48 billion yen.

Earnings and Dividend Growth

Pretax profit for the period stood at 16.91 billion yen, a significant jump from 12.43 billion yen. This performance translated to basic earnings per share of 42.98 yen, surpassing the 32.94 yen reported a year ago.

Matsui Securities also updated its shareholder return schedule:

    • Midyear dividend increased to 25.00 yen from 22.00 yen.
    • Annual dividend for the previous full year was 40.00 yen.
    • Year-end dividends for the current cycle remain as forecasts.
According to the official filing, these results are based on Japanese accounting standards. The company noted that while the nine-month performance shows strong momentum, future dividend payouts are based on current projections.
