Darcy Davenport to Step Down as BellRing Brands CEO

Darcy Davenport, the president and chief executive of BellRing Brands, will retire by the end of September after leading the St. Louis-based nutrition company through its first five years as a public entity.

BellRing Brands announced on Tuesday that Davenport is prepared to vacate her post earlier than the September deadline if a successor is identified sooner. Having served at the helm since September 2019, Davenport oversaw the company’s growth into a major player within the protein shake and convenient nutrition markets.

Leadership Transition and Succession Search

The company’s board of directors has officially launched an external search to find a replacement capable of maintaining the firm's momentum. According to the official announcement, Davenport will not depart immediately but will instead transition into an advisory role. In this capacity, she will provide strategic support and assist with the leadership handover to ensure a seamless transition for the St. Louis-based manufacturer.

During her tenure, BellRing Brands focused on expanding its footprint in the high-demand health and wellness sector. The board's decision to look outside the company for a new chief executive suggests a desire for fresh perspective as the firm enters its next phase of growth following Darcy Davenport’s retirement.
