Japan Airport Terminal Profits Climb as Revenue Reaches ¥217 Billion

Japan Airport Terminal Co. Ltd. reported a significant increase in its bottom line for the nine months ending December 31, with net profit rising to ¥22.24 billion. The operator of Haneda Airport’s passenger terminals benefited from a sustained recovery in air travel, driving revenue and operating margins well above prior-year levels.

The company’s revenue reached ¥217.14 billion, up from ¥201.55 billion in the same period a year earlier. Operating profit followed a similar upward trajectory, climbing to ¥35.58 billion as the company leveraged increased passenger volumes at Japan's primary aviation hubs.

Financial Performance Breakdown

According to the company's financial statement, pretax profit rose to ¥34.32 billion, compared to ¥30.80 billion in the previous year. This growth translated to earnings per share of ¥239.63, a notable increase from the ¥201.76 reported during the same nine-month window in 2024.

The results, which are based on Japanese accounting standards, reflect a broader stabilization in the regional travel sector. While the report did not specify individual terminal performance, the overall growth suggests a robust return of both domestic and international traffic to major Japanese gateways as of December 31.
